🐝 Our Story

Welcome to Bossy Bee Farm, an Air Force veteran-owned and family-run apiary nestled among the tall pines of Black Forest, Colorado.

What began as a handful of backyard hives has grown into a small but mighty operation — home to thousands of hardworking bees (and one very opinionated Queen). We produce pure, raw wildflower honey, carefully strained and never pasteurized, to preserve every bit of its natural flavor and goodness. Each jar reflects the colorful wildflowers our bees visit across the Black Forest — sweet, floral, and unmistakably Queen Approved.

Every September, we extract and bottle the new harvest, transforming a portion into small-batch whipped honey, whiskey-barrel-aged honey, comb honey, and even beeswax lip balm. For fellow beekeepers, we also offer 5-frame and 10-frame nucs to help expand the buzz.

Our mascot, Queen Rubee, is the cheerful little bee you’ll spot in our logo — named in honor of Ruby, our 12-year-old German Shepherd and true queen of the household. 👑🐾 Rubee’s playful spirit (and Ruby’s bossy charm) inspired the name behind Bossy Bee Farm and remind us daily who’s really in charge.

Whether you’re a beekeeper, honey enthusiast, or simply someone who believes life is better with a little sweetness, we’re thrilled to share what our hive creates.
